The Golden State Warriors and their all-star backcourt of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson were somehow snubbed by the NBA when it came to picking an All Star team. The two stars, who made headlines for carrying the Warriors all season long, had to watch from home this weekend as other players enjoyed a tournament in their honor.
The “how tall is klay thompson” is a question that has been asked many times. The “Golden State Warriors Teammates Hilariously Troll Klay Thompson Over NBA 75 Team Snub.”
Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors was disappointed to be left off the NBA’s 75th anniversary squad. He wasn’t hesitant in expressing his displeasure, stating unequivocally that he belongs among the best 75 (sorry, 76) players in NBA history. He wasn’t the only conspicuous omission; Dwight Howard and Vince Carter were also left out. The Warriors, on the other hand, wanted to show Thompson that they had his back in the only way teammates can.
It was probably not the gesture Thompson had hoped for.
Klay Thompson has a strong track record.

Klay Thompson has been an important part of three championship teams in the Bay Area since being chosen with the 11th overall selection by the Golden State Warriors in 2011. He’s also a two-time All-NBA selection, a great 3-point shooter, and an All-Defensive selection in 2018–19, demonstrating his versatility.
That does not, however, make for a compelling argument for one of the 76 greatest NBA players of all time. Thompson has never shot less than 40.1 percent from three-point range in his career, and his 41.9 percent record ranks 14th all-time in his eight seasons. But, behind Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry, he was the third-best player on two of Golden State’s championship teams.
Ask Chris Bosh how simple it was for third-stringers to reach the NBA’s top 75.
Injuries may have also played a role in his death. Thompson, who is still active, hasn’t played since injuring his ACL in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals. He ruptured his right Achilles’ tendon while rehabbing from the knee injury and will miss the 2020–21 season after sitting out the whole 2019–20 season.
He hasn’t been approved for full practice activities yet, but sources indicate that this will come shortly.
Thompson essentially made a case for inclusion on the list. It’s just not a huge one.
Thompson’s Golden State Warriors teammates had a little fun with him.
The Golden State Warriors arrived to the club facility for practice on Oct. 23, two days after defeating the Los Angeles Clippers 115–113 in their home opener.
Thompson’s teammates were anticipating his arrival. They presented him with a unique jersey, which he proudly displayed in his locker. Thompson’s customary No. 11 was absent from the jersey.
Instead, his kind coworkers gave him a No. 77 jersey. According to ESPN’s Nick Friedell, coach Steve Kerr needed a moment to catch on to the joke.
“At first, I had no idea what it meant. After that, someone explained it to me,” Kerr added. That was really amusing to me. Everything must be approached with a sense of humour. His buddies must have gotten things done so they could laugh with him.”
What about a suspect? Kerr had a brilliant idea:
“Steph, I’m guessing.” However, I am unable to corroborate this. It’s just a hunch.”
Steve Kerr, the head coach of the Golden State Warriors,
Curry seems to be a strong contender.
Klay Thompson, to his credit, handled it well.
Klay Thompson expressed his sorrow at not making the NBA 75 list, but he also agreed with his Golden State Warriors colleagues’ mockery:
“77! “Baby, you’re the greatest player of all time!”
Curry also added his two cents.
“Get the new jersey!” exclaims the narrator. Curry was ecstatic. “Warning: New Jersey!”
Thompson will not be moving from No. 11 to No. 77 in the rankings. To begin with, there is a system for changing phone numbers. A player must submit an application to the league, which must be approved by both the NBA and Nike.
This season, LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers traded his No. 23 for No. 6 once again. When he departed the Cleveland Cavaliers for the Miami Heat in 2010, he made the exact same alteration, but it was because the Heat had previously retired No. 23 for Michael Jordan, who never played for the Heat.
A NBA season is a marathon. Any opportunity to have some fun is welcomed by the players. Thompson’s teammates saw an opening to ridicule him and seized it. He decided to go along for the journey. Everyone laughed, the atmosphere brightened, and they all returned to their jobs.
Given the other high-profile absences from the list, the Golden State Warriors may have been better off giving Klay Thompson a jersey number in the 1980s.
