Elden Ring is a unique online game with an almost nonexistent barrier to entry. It’s also known for being one of the most difficult games on the market, as players must find their own way through various obstacles and puzzles in order to defeat its challenging enemies.

The “how to invade elden ring” is a game that was released in 2018. The game has a PvP multiplayer mode and allows players to invade other players.

Elden Ring PvP Multiplayer: How to Invade Other Players

The way the From Software games integrate competitive PvP multiplayer has been part of what has made them so enjoyable over the years. Even if you don’t like it as much as the invaders do, there’s something to be said about fighting a red phantom just before a large boss battle. So, in Elden Ring, how do you infiltrate?

This Elden Ring tutorial will teach you the majority of what you need to know about PvP multiplayer and how to infiltrate other players in From’s newest game. We say most because there are a few things we still need to figure out and comprehend. However, the information provided here will get you started.

This is a companion guide to our PvE co-op multiplayer guide, so if you’re looking for a way to play with your buddies, go here.

How to Invade as a Red Phantom in Elden Ring PvP Multiplayer

While Elden Ring’s co-op multiplayer starts as soon as you leave the Stranded Graveyard and enter the open world of Limgrave, you’ll have to wait a little longer for PvP multiplayer to begin, but we’ll tell you how to earn the equipment you’ll need down below.

But first, let’s go over a couple of brief points. Of course, you may use things to infiltrate other players’ worlds in order to kill them, but other players can also call you into theirs for a battle. You may utilize the Small Red Effigy to send your invasion notice to Summoning Pools (more on that in our co-op tutorial mentioned above), as well as place signs in other locations.

In addition, there’s the matter of Summoning Ranges to consider. In general, summoning and multiplayer take into account two factors:

  • The current character level of a player.
  • The highest degree of weapon upgrade a player has ever attained.

Let’s start with the second point, which is a little trickier. In the lifespan of a character, max weapon upgrade refers to the maximum you’ve ever leveled a weapon on that character. Upgrade a mace to +4, store or sell it, and your maximum weapon upgrade level is +4 for the rest of your life. It makes no difference whether you have the weapon in your inventory or stockpile.

Character level is the same as it has been in previous Souls games. Players may only participate in multiplayer up to a certain point. We don’t know the specific ranges yet, but we’ll update this information as soon as we do. Regardless, for better fairness, you should be paired with players of comparable skill levels.

Finally, you are not permitted to ride a horse in multiplayer, even while invading as a PvP player. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be fair.

We’ll go through how to gather the equipment you’ll need to begin invading other players in Elden Ring in the sections below.

It might take hours, depending on the path you pick, before you can invade other players. There’s a lot more to the game than this that we didn’t get to during our early access time (some of which we’ll discuss in this guide), but we’ll keep this information updated as we play more.

How to Get the Furled Finger and Small Red Effigy of the Duelist

Note that this invasion tactic requires you to be called by another player and sent to their planet as a Duelist. It’s a little different from what you’re used to, and it puts you at danger of being overwhelmed (though some players will find that enticing).

Take the most direct approach to get the Duelist’s Furled Finger and the Small Red Effigy in the shortest amount of time. If you haven’t already, go to Agheel Lake North Site of Grace to receive Torrent. From there, go northeast toward the imposing cliffs that rise above you. A Spiritspring may be identified by what seems to be a tornado of spinning air. To get to the cliffs above, ride Torrent and plunge into the Spiritspring.

Continue north, crossing a road and passing into a woodland sandwiched between two massive cliffs. Pass via an aqueduct and continue on the route to the Stormhill Colesium, which is located near the seashore in the far north of the map.

A crimson phantom will attack you as you approach. Defeat them and then go to the coliseum’s front stairs. To get the Duelist’s Furled Finger and Small Red Effigy, interact with the glowing item node.

To use these things, pick “Use” from your inventory after highlighting them. You may also add them to your quick item bar to make it easier to pick them.

How to Acquire Other PvP Items in Order to Invade Other Players

The invasion strategy described above is a unique way of combating other players in Elden Ring. However, you’ll have to wait a while before you earn the power to invade, like you would in Dark Souls 3. To accomplish so, you must first go to Liurnia of the Lakes. This is located to the north of Limgrave and will be accessible after Stormveil Castle is finished.

Here are the equipment you’ll need for PvP:

  • This is offered at the Rose Church. Festering Bloody Finger: This is available at the Rose Church. To get it, you’ll need to talk with White-Faced Varre, an NPC there.
    • This lets you to find a player to invade, but you can only use it once.
  • Bloody Finger: This may also be gained via a side quest at the Rose Church.
    • It, too, may be used to find a player to invade and can be utilized several times.
  • Recusant Finger: In Liurnia of the Lakes, locate another NPC and begin the Volcano Manor quest.
    • This allows you to search for another player to invade, although it is “different” from the other two options.

To utilize these goods, go into your inventory, highlight them, and click “Use,” just as you would to summon a red phantom with those items. Alternatively, you may add them to your quick item bar to make it easier to pick them.

In PvP Multiplayer Sessions, how many players may there be?

In most PvP multiplayer sessions, just one red phantom invader will be present. They may confront the summoner or the invading player, or they may face up to three cooperating players in total.

In a single session, there may be two invaders, however the Host of Fingers (the player who is being invaded) must select whether or not to have two red phantoms emerge.

Blue phantom hunters should also be avoided. Some co-op players utilize the White Cipher Ring and Blue Cipher Ring to summon assistance when they are invaded, as well as to hunt red phantoms in other players’ games.

That’s pretty much all there is to know about Elden Ring PvP multiplayer and how to infiltrate other gamers. The new quirks in the system are fascinating additions — especially for red phantoms — however you’ll have to wait a little time to actually unleash havoc and disruption. The “elden ring multiplayer greyed out” is a problem that has been present for a while. There are many solutions to the issue, but the most common one is to use mods.
