The Buffalo Bills lost in a game that was so bad, it’s hard to find words. Here are three takeaways from the loss: 1) Tyrod Taylor is not good enough and should be benched for Nathan Peterman.2) The defense has no accountability3) The team needs to re-evaluate their coaching staff

The “who beat the chiefs this year” is a question that has been asked many times in the past few weeks. The Kansas City Chiefs were able to defeat the New England Patriots on Sunday, November 25th.

In Week 10, the Las Vegas Raiders were humiliated in front of a national audience as they were blown out 41-14 by the Kansas City Chiefs at Allegiant Stadium.

The Chiefs began the game as a little favorite, so what was meant to be one of the better games on the Sunday slate turned out to be everything but. That line was kind to the Raiders, to say the least, after viewing their performance on Sunday.

Las Vegas has now lost two straight games and is presently 5-4 in the AFC West. Here are three thoughts from their heartbreaking loss to the defending AFC champions.

Week 10 takeaways from the Raiders’ game against the Chiefs

1. The Las Vegas Run Game Didn’t Exist

In 2021, the Raiders are dreadful on the ground, ranking 28th in running yards per game. Josh Jacobs, the running back, has struggled this season, gaining just 16 yards on seven runs.

Derek Carr threw a game-changing interception in the third quarter, effectively ending any Raiders comeback hopes. Carr isn’t throwing for as many touchdowns as he was early in the season. If Las Vegas wants to win in the future, they’ll need a balanced offensive approach, something they don’t have right now. It was a wonderful tale to start the season 3-0 by relying exclusively on Carr’s arm, but it was never going to be sustainable.

2. What Happened to the Defense?

After a significant improvement in defense over previous years, Las Vegas reverted to old tendencies and was thrashed on the big stage. The Raiders gave up roughly 100 yards on the ground and more than 400 yards in the air.

The Raiders were unable to keep any pressure on Patrick Mahomes, who dominated the defense throughout the game. On third down, Kansas City converted 60% of the time, but Las Vegas was just 1-for-9 when it counted most. In addition, Las Vegas was penalized nine times for 68 yards, with Kansas City having a significant advantage in time of possession.

The Chiefs only had one halted drive, and they even pulled off a successful fake punt in the fourth quarter to utterly drain the enthusiasm from the stadium.

3. DeSean Jackson’s Raiders Debut Is A Disaster

After his disastrous debut on Sunday, veteran wideout DeSean Jackson’s leash may be short in Las Vegas. The 34-year-old speedster just had one reception for 31 yards in his debut game with his new squad, and it didn’t go well:

Following the Henry Ruggs III DUI incident, Jackson was signed by the Raiders. With receivers like Bryan Edwards and Hunter Renfrow, the Raiders are weak at the position. Only two games of 70 yards or more have been recorded by tight end Darren Waller so far in 2021. Waller is coming off his poorest game of the season, in which he caught just four catches for 24 yards.

Las Vegas will rely on Jackson to quickly recover from his blunder and fill a portion of the big void left by Ruggs’ arrest.
